August is Almost Over

August 17th, 2008 · No Comments

It’s already August 17th. On the 15th (mid-month) I couldn’t believe that I had just paid the rent, now it was almost due again. Now it’s the 17th. Where has the month gone? Wasted away at work, at sleeping before I go to back… I need a plan to make it out of the same old rat race. I need to get out of all of this so that I can let the time fly without the worries of the next month approaching… How nice would it be to get out…

Canon Digital Elph

August 5th, 2008 · No Comments

I have had 3 types of Canon Digital Elph and they have all gone to the crapper. They work very well for a good period of time. Then one day, the shutter won’t open or the screen won’t light, a month later, the camera won’t turn on. I got a new battery, nada. What am I to do? All I can do is buy another camera for a ridiculous price because there is on way to buy an old one new, I must buy the newest version for $300+.

O well, I’ll just stick to the phone camera…

Bar Louie

August 3rd, 2008 · No Comments

There is a popular Bar that is open throughout the east coast and the mid-west. They are called Bar Louie. It seem to be a pretty awesome place and my primo says the same thing being from Chicago and all. On August 28th, there will be a cool new place to hang out in Anaheim, CA. Plus, there is a movie theater across the way, a new Bowling alley and right behind the bar, an new night club is opening its doors. That calls for a pretty poppin place to kickit and have a good time.

Check it out August 28th at 321 Katella in Anaheim

A Whole New Start

August 1st, 2008 · No Comments

This is a new beginning of the month, a new beginning to getting back to a post a day and more. I can’t believe that I let it go to waste all of last month. But, ask me what your favorite drink is and I will let you know what’s in it and how it tastes. The taste factor will be based on my own pallet and all that I like to drink, which, is just about everything.

So, let me know what you would like to drink, I’ll let you know if I’d like to drink it…

Gettin One In

July 27th, 2008 · No Comments

I just felt like I finally had time to sit down and add to my blog. I should spend the little time I do spend on a computer away from MySpace, and writing a lil’ something something in this space. I mean, it’s not even that hard to write here. I just need to find something that I wanna share witht the world instead of my rants about how bad I am at this…

Bad Blogging

July 13th, 2008 · No Comments

I’ve been pretty bad at this whole, updating my blog thing. First I dropped the Thought of the Day, then I don’t write anything. If you look back to the calender and the archives, you will see that I was doing well. But things at work have been crazy, that and I am attending bartending school. (Why isn’t bartending a real word?) So I don’t have a lot of time like I did the last few months.

Any ideas on how to keep things up to date? I could do shorter adds…

Wanted

July 10th, 2008 · No Comments

Wanted the movie is pretty awesome. Although it is for the older crowd, as opposed to Wall-E, I would recommend that you go see it. It is full of action and gunfire as a league of assassins trains their new recruit.

Wall-E

July 7th, 2008 · No Comments

Wall-E is a great movie. Take the kids, they’ll love it. There was a child in the theater asking all kinds of questions about the “robot.” It is a great movie with a good message to push across.

My recommendation, Go See It!

FaceBook Mob Wars

June 27th, 2008 · No Comments

I’m still getting the hang of the MobWars app on FaceBook. I tend to get into a lot of fights and lose all of them, I don’t even know how to fight any of these people. I don’t even know how to ad my friends to my mob. A little frustrating jsut because my Mob size is 2. All of those people who fight me have 4 - 11 in their mob and see me as the easy target. I even saw one guy on there with a mob of 117. I don’t even have that many friends. What an upseeting day in the life of my mob.

Waiting for a Parking Spot… @ the GYM!

June 26th, 2008 · No Comments

You always see those people who wait around a parking with the hopes that somebody will be leaving the store or mall holding a highly prized “close” parking space. Yea it’s a great feeling to have to walk passed 2 or 3 cars rather than a whole line, say 20 or 30. But is it worth the wait?

Many would argue, yes. In most cases I can see where waiting would be very advantageous. Purchasing a lot of groceries that would be a great strain to push further, or a larger heavy item that must be carried off the premises. These are good reasons for a closer parking spot. Maybe it’s a hot day, and you don’t want to walk as long, as far, in the heat. Also a plus to have a closer spot for the timeliness of the cool A/C.

In these cases there are many parking spaces available and there are many people coming and going. Times aren’t too long in many cases and the parking lots can usually accommodate the waiters as well as the passers by. What drives me insane is having to wait for a spot at the gym.

The gym where I workout is built into a shopping center. There is a very small parking lot directly in front of the gym, and a huge parking structure right around the corner from it. The elevator comes down about 60 yards from the front door to the gym.

I will occasionally drive through the front lot and try my luck that my pass will have been timed perfectly, limiting my wait to 5, maybe 10, seconds. If that is not the case, it really never is, I circle around and go to the parking garage.

Now, if I happen to arrive at a busy time to the gym, there will be a line of people waiting for a parking spot to free up. I actually walked by a person waiting for a spot while entering the gym; an hour later, as I was leaving, that person was just getting a parking spot. What do these people have to do with their lives if they can waste an hour WAITING?! Now this was a rare exception, bad timing by this driver all the way around, as one spot freed up somebody approached and beat them to the waiting position, turn signal and all.

Why does this drive me crazy? Gas prices are ridiculously high nowadays and they don’t seem to be dropping anytime soon. How much gas is wasted idling in a parking lot, waiting for a good spot? What tops it off though is the fact that these people are at the gym. What is the main purpose for going to the gym? A workout? Noooo (sarcasm). Most people are at the gym to burn some calories and trim their figures into a healthier feeling version of themselves. Is it really that bad to walk a couple hundred feet to get into the gym? It’s like a warm-up which is recommended to begin a workout, then a cool-down period after the workout, which won’t hurt either.

So in light of this post, don’t wait for a parking spot,
